Once upon a time, long ago in a small town high school on the Mid North Coast, a very special teacher said to me ‘Hey Katie have you thought about doing events?’ and that is WHEN IT ALL STARTED. In all seriousness though, that’s actually when I fell in love with events.
I was 16 when I started my Certificate III in Events, jumping head first into events. I spent every year from then on out, wrapping my hands around any event I could.

By the time I hit my early 20’s I had landed my first event coordinator position. I was obsessed, throwing everything into my job and spending way too many hours at work. At this time I started dabbling in public speaking. I completed a short course in public speaking and began speaking at different charity events.

I decided to take the experience I had and move to a city and into an even bigger position. I become a venue coordinator of a well established and BUSY venue within Newcastle. In peak wedding season, I was turning over 4 weddings PER WEEKEND! To say I learnt a lot was an understatement.

And amongst that chaos, the idea of Sincerely Katie bloomed. At this point of my career, I had emceed 4 friends weddings, been a bridesmaid (or groomsmen) 8 times and MC’ed multiple charity events - to say I was craving a microphone would’ve been an understatement, so amongst a 40-50 hour work week, I started my studies to be a registered marriage celebrant.

And that leads to me to here - a registered civil celebrant, trained public speaker and qualified event coordinator who operates with pure honesty, kindness, empathy and love. I am so incredibly honored and honestly quite proud to be here, running this business.
